FALL 2025
and with it comes the excitement of new fishing adventures, hunting season, and sitting around the campfire swapping old stories.
The Degenerate Fish Hippies have been working hard to avoid responsibilities and keep themselves in the woods. They have also been working hard to bring you new content, such as fly-tying, gear reviews, and hunting and fishing advice for the new outdoorsmen.
As for the boys, Connor and Joel are still working and living the dream, guiding in The Park. Coltin is out exploring new ways to hunt in the Midwest, and Rod is trying to catch new species of fish in the Northeast. All in all, the boys are doing just fine.
Wherever you are this season, make sure to get out into the outdoors and enjoy the cool weather and new adventures. Remember,
Stay Degenerate

How to Tie: Madam X
This is our rendition of a Madam X Fly. This is a great tie for the summer hoppers and large bugs coming out and around the flora hanging on the banks of the river. This is a relatively simple tie and is great to add to your flybox arsenal for this summer. Give this fly a try and let us know what you think!
Up in the UP of Michigan
Carter and Coltin take a weekend trip up near Iron River Michigan. After driving through a tornado warning, the boys got to the river and settled in. From going to chasing brook trout, gears were switched to chasing small jaws.
The Ultimate Fishing Showdown
A great showdown of the hill-jack, spinning rod users, versus the fairywand, handling fly anglers. Between the trash talk, forgetting bait, and even miscounting scores (which makes them true fishermen lol). The boys are at Lake Sullivan in Indiana. By the way, you guys would have had another CRAPPIE video to watch, but Coltin accidentally deleted.... what a goof.
